Matthew Mitchell - Revive Gym Milton Keynes

MATTHEW

DIRECTOR

HEAD TRAINER

Matthew’s credentials:

Level 3 Personal trainer
Level 4 Sports massage therapist
Level 2 calisthenics certification
Nutrition coach
Kettlebell coach
FA level 2 football coach

Matthew founded Revive in 2019 after more than ten years’ experience working as a top level personal and group trainer internationally. Recognising that the industry was missing something, and wanting to help people to grow into the best version of themselves away from the typical gym environment, Revive was born.

Matthew’s passion for fitness started at a young age when he used to compete at a high level in athletics focusing on 100m sprint, high jump and discus along with playing football at a competitive level. Following a serious injury and seven knee operations, he wanted to put his experience and knowledge into helping others.

Matthew has been competing in the premier functional fitness competition Hyrox, regularly since it first came to the UK in 2021, where he qualified and competed in the World Championship finals in Las Vegas. Through this, has come the legendary team training sessions and the small group sessions where an amazing Revive fitness community is being built, and a squad of Revivers representing at Hyrox!

In this day and age where so much focus is on mental health, Matthew is delivering pioneering training styles at a unique venue, where training is about performance and longevity — not image and diets.

Katey Rogers - Sports massage therapy, Aspley Guise Milton Keynes.

KATEY

DIRECTOR

Sports mASSAGE therapist

Katey’s credentials:

Sports Massage Therapist
(Levels 3,4 & 5 ITEC)
Diploma in Hot Bamboo Therapy
Equine Sports Massage Therapist
Hyrox Academy Coach
Dressage Trainer
Netball Coach

Katey joined forces with Matthew in 2021 and together they've built Revive into the thriving community it is today.

With an extensive sporting background - competing at a high level in Netball, Hockey, Dressage, Athletics, Swimming and Dance.

Katey brings a depth of lived experience that few can match. (She even played football at half-time at Watford FC in front of a packed crowd at age 13. The netball goal defence skills? Excellent. The full-size football goal? Less so!)

Katey first qualified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist over 20 years ago, going on to significantly improve the athletic performance of both amateur and elite competition horses. While teaching Dressage, she noticed a consistent correlation between horse and rider pathology - and after sustaining two serious knee injuries of her own (ACL and meniscus tears), she channelled that insight into human Sports and Soft Tissue Therapy.

Since then, Katey has worked with a wide spectrum of athletes - from those looking to stay active and pain-free, to Professional Footballers and Olympic hopefuls. She combines genuine empathy with deep clinical expertise to create a massage experience that delivers effective muscle release work in a space designed to help you truly switch off.
